About

Pedersen McGill is a first-generation American actor and writer of Danish and English ancestry. Pedersen is a proud husband and father and lives with his family in the U.S. and works out of Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta.

Friends describe Pedersen as having a disarming, warm, and quirky personality with a dry, British sense of humor. Others describe him as hard-driving and no-bullshit.

Pedersen enjoys writing, the outdoors, home-remodeling, chess, and as the father of a six-year-old princess he’s learning to love all things pink.

Education & Career

Pedersen studied acting at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where he earned a BFA while at the Experimental Theater Wing and Playwrights Horizon’s Theater School. Post-college Pedersen studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and then with the late Jeff Corey at the Professional Actor’s Workshop. Early in his career, Pedersen earned a Master of Public Policy from Duke University.

Shortly after college, Pedersen started working in public service, federal contracting, and corporate consulting. After 15 successful professional years, Pedersen returned to acting. Diverse work experiences with clients such as the US Department of Defense, the US Department of State, major corporate brands, small businesses, and a full life in growing a family have brought new richness to Pedersen’s acting.

Pedersen is often cast as a businessman, professor, lawyer, doctor, detective, or family man. He particularly enjoys playing slightly off-center anti-heroes.

Pedersen welcomes acting and writing opportunities whether large or small. Pedersen is represented by Susan Tolar Walters at STW. Pedersen is an active SAG-AFTRA member.
